Rules/guideline

  1. I understand that I have the proper APBA membership and it is my responsibility to sign all waivers and get proper credentials that is required by each event.  All riders agree that they are physically fit and able to ride in a PWC freestyle event and their watercraft is in safe condition.
  2.  Rider have proper personal insurance coverage.
  3. When in doubt throttle down, pull off course>safety check.
  4. All your personal safety equipment (Vest, wetsuit, etc.) must be on before entering the water and watercraft safety checked. Helmets recommended.
  5. Have idles at a safe range, so if you lose you boat, your boat decelerates to a very low idle range or cuts out (preferred). By not having for Emergency cut off switch (EEOC) attached, means you assume responsible for not losing your ski. We recommend wearing EEOC/lanyard!
  6. Check all directions prior to accelerating, especially behind you.
  7. Be aware of the presence and intensions of other watercraft.
  8. EYE contact with other riders helps keep everyone on the same page.
  9. Use hand signals. Taping on top of head means Throttle down and returns to dock. Use finger to point which direction you are going and to signal a rider to enter the course.
  10. Aware of your area and hazards (docks, boats, obstacles (wood/rope) in water and teammates).
  11. Your PWC trick run pattern needs to be parallel to docks, never toward. Always think of what would happen if are separated from your ski and it didn’t idle down. Most important.
  12. The basic tricks will amaze 95% of the people watching our show. Show time is not the time to do technical and inconsistence tricks. Do the tricks that you are very successful at and acknowledge the crowds; this is what we want from our performers. Most of the people might not see the difference between one-handed tricks vs. two handed tricks. There is no need to try for no handers and one-handed tricks at an event like this.
  13. Think safety, ride consistent, and roll with the punches to make this a great event.
  14. Primary rider – main performer on the course, must signal to secondary rider when he is leaving the course. Primary rider uses eye contact and a point of the finger to signal the secondary rider to the course.
  15. Secondary rider – on the water and on standby waiting for a signal from the primary rider to enter the course.
  16. Staging rider ready to become secondary rider.
  17.  I understand all photos and video will be property of the event, unless I get approval and all photos taken of me can be used in any promotional purpose of the event.
  18.  I understand that I will support and run decals of event/tour sponsors. All personal sponsors must be approved by event management.
  19.  I understand that damage, loss, sunk or stolen ski is my responsibility.
